I have been
rereading the Doctrine and Covenants and I came across a verse that I just
loved! It is Doctrine and Covenants 8:4
"Therefore
this is thy gift; apply unto it, and blessed art thou, for it shall deliver you
out of the hands of your enemies..."
I read that and
realized how each of us are given different challenges in life. We are all
different and different things are going to stretch us and make us better while
other things are going to help someone else become better. But it dawned on me
that the gifts and talents that each of us are given are to help us and to help
others. Well if we aren't all going to go through the same challenges we all
aren't going to be given the same gifts and talents, but the talents and gifts
we are given are going to help you overcome temptations. They are
given because "the Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men,
save he shall prepare a way" (1 Nephi 3:7) The gifts each of us have are
to help us with our specific challenges and to left where we stand. To help
others around us. Isn't He the best? That all He wants is for us to overcome
our trials so that we can have joy in this life and in the life to come and for
us to help others have that as well. I love that about our Heavenly Father He
truly cares and loves us.
Love ya!
