"Nevertheless,
the Lord God showeth us our weakneses that we may know that it is by his grace,
and his great condescensions unto the children of men, that we have power to do
these things." (Jacob 4:7)
This week the
scripture really hit home for me. For some reason I have realized how we truly
are all reliant on our Heavenly Father. "Without Him we can do
nothing" (John 15:5) It is because of Him that we are having the successes
in life that we are. It is because of Him that we are able to progress, and
repent and become someone better. It is all because of Him. We truly need Him
involved in all aspects of our lives.
I love that in
Jacob 4 he tells us that we have our weaknesses so that we can more fully rely
Him. So that we can be accessing the Atonement everyday. So that we can realize
that he is so prominent in our lives and needs to be at the forefront of our
minds.
It's unfathomable
for me to think that the all knowing creator of the universe could have us call
him anything, but he wants us to call him Father. He wants us to have a
personal relationship with Him. He wants to be so involved in our lives that he
has tells us to pray to him and counsel with him in all things. He wants us to
know that he is always there for us. He wants us to know that He knows what
each of us need to do to return to live with Him. He can see the big picture.
As we rely on Him in all things, no matter how small, He truly will guide us in
the paths that we need to go. He will shape us as mold us into beings worthy of
the Celestial Kingdom, worthy of exaltation.
Love ya!
