So it's almost March? WHAAATT?!

I seriously can't believe it is almost March! This year is flying by! It just needs to slow down! I love it too much out here!

This week I continued to study in Alma and holy smokes I can't tell you how much I love the Book of Mormon enough! It truly is Heavenly Father's words to us in these last days. But like I was saying I was reading in Alma and in chapter 34 it was talking about justice and mercy and something hit me. My entire life I have grown up knowing that it is only through Jesus Christ and His Atonement that I can live with Him and my family for all eternity but this chapter hit it home for me.

It was talking about justice and how it is a law of Heaven that justice must be fulfilled. But there is a line in verse 16 that I just loved. It says that "and thus mercy can satisfy the demands of justice" But it is only through the Atonement that we can have that mercy. And yes the Atonement is for everyone and everyone can have that mercy but we have to act. It was paid for by our Savior Jesus Christ and that is great. Without Him we would only have justice and not be able to have that mercy, but if we don't act on it it doesn't do anything for us. We have to have faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. We have to repent of our sins, be baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and endure to the end. We have to do these thing and continue to do them or we can't have that beautiful gift of His mercy. It really hit home that this is why I am on a mission. This is why I want people to know about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I want them to know about this so that they can have that mercy, so that they can have that complete joy and happiness of the Celestial kingdom.

I love this gospel so much and I know that it is only through Jesus Christ and his Atonement and this gospel that we can ever have complete happiness and joy. But He loves us enough to let each of us choose if we want it. We get to choose if we want happiness or not. I want to challenge each of you to find some way in your life that you can better have faith in Jesus Christ and rely more fully on Him. I know that when you will have a happier life. You will be more positive and grateful for all that you have been given.

Love you all!!

MIRACLE STORY:
We were about to knock this apartment complex when all of a sudden we saw a no trespassing sign. We were super disappointed and didn't know where to go. When all of a sudden we felt like there was this one apartment complex we didn't get to finish and should go try. So we drove to the other apartment and after a prayer for strength to find His elect children we headed out. When we came around a corner we saw this young man and all of us got really excited because he looked YSA. Then we found out he was already a member and in high school, but he told us how much of a tender mercy we were because he was a recent convert and hadn't been to church in awhile and needed the gospel in his life again. He was thinking about serving a mission but didn't really know but that we were his tender mercy knowing that Heavenly Father loves him. Which that in and of itself was a super cool miracle to be someone elses tender mercy. Then we started knocking and door after door no one was interested. Then the last door we knocked on this young woman answered and said she was really hard core catholic and wasn't really interested, but because it was cold (78 degrees and windy haha) outside she would let us in. We talked with her for a minute and she decided she wanted this in her life. We taught her the first lesson and she was so excited for us to come back!! AHHH! It may seem like a little thing but Heavenly Father truly does lead us to His elect children.
FUN FACTS:
1. We were going to dinner with a recent convert and we got a call from him asking if we had our ID's on us. The second we hung up the phone I turned to my companions and said "it's officially were going to a club! Hopefully he knows i'm not 21!" haha too funny! We ended up going onto Ft Bliss the military base for dinner and I have decided that if I was in the military I would never leave base. They have their own world there!! haha
2. When it gets to 68 degrees here "it's freezing"

Heart attacking a less active's
door for service this week (:
This week I also realized how aware my Heavenly Father is of me. I was kinda struggling with not feeling worthy enough and not being good enough this week (well actually that is a Sister Wade struggle i have almost every week haha buuuuut it was more so this week) and during church my favorite person handed me a note and kept walking. I quickly read the note and it said exactly what I needed to hear. No one, not even my companions knew I was struggling with feeling adequate and this note was directed straight at that. She was so inspired to write me that letter and help me with the very thing I needed help with. I know Heavenly Father knows each and everyone of you and He loves you and wants you to know it. If you but look for His hand in all things you will find it.

I was studying today and I came across this scripture that really struck me and I felt like I should share it. The scripture was John 16:33 and it says "There things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Something really struck me and I realized that that peace only comes from using the Atonement of Jesus Christ and relying on Him. We live in the world and because we live in the world there is gonna be struggles and trials and tribulations and hardships. That is life. That was part of the plan when we signed up for this but we can have peace in those hardships and in those trials as we rely more fully on Jesus Christ and His Atonement. He already overcame the world. He overcame all of your hardships and trails and struggles and all of the above. He did it all for YOU. So that YOU can have that peace in a crazy world. So that YOU can find joy in the hardships. I know that He loves YOU and wants you to rely on Him. Turn to Him and you will be able to have joy in the craziness of the world!

Love y'all!!

Faith to Move Mountains

Hey y'all! So this week was pretty grand. My new companion Sister Morris taught me the coolest thing. Okay so she was talking to a friend a couple of years back and her friend pointed to the mountain and said "hey you see that mountain? it actually used to be over there" and pointed a couple of feet to the right. "and that hill over there it used to be over there" pointing a couple of feet to the left. Sister Morris gave her a funny look and said "ha yea right!!" But her friend turned to her and said "no, really, little by little the miners took one shovel full of the mountain and moved it little by little to try and find the gold under it."

It reminded me of the scripture Matthew 21:12 that talks about how we can have the faith to move mountains. But not necessarily physical mountains but more so the mountains in our own life. Our own challenges. We all have probably thought of the mountains in this scripture some time or another as the trials in our life but I feel like most of us feel that if our trials/mountains aren't taken away immediately our faith isn't strong enough. Oh how wrong that is. It is like the story that Sister Morris shared that it truly is little by little that we can overcome our own mountains in our life. It isn't going to happen instantly and we aren't going to instantly be stronger, but it's those little acts of faith that eventually allow us to move or overcome our own trials in our life. It's by those small and simple acts of faith like reading our scriptures, saying our prayers, going to church, doing family home evening, going to seminary all of the above that we can learn how to move our own mountains in our life.

Try and figure out what things are holding you back from moving your mountains in your life. And use the Atonement of Jesus Christ to become better and strengthen your faith so that you can over come your own person mountains.

I love y'all lots and hope you have the best day ever! (sorry I have no time today haha!)

So trios are fun….

So apparently trios are kinda my thing. I am in my second trio!! I am still in El Paso and my new companions are Sister Orseth and Sister Morris! They are the greatest! I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us and for this area. I know that everything is in His hands and that we are doing His work.
Wow I really love being able to say that. I love knowing that I am a representative of Jesus Christ and I wear His name on my name tag.
This week there was a huge miracle that happened!! We were teaching an investigator that works 2 jobs and owns his own business and because of all his work hours he never has Sundays off. We had talked about keeping the Sabbath day holy and he just kept saying "next week I'll come. Next week I'll come." So when we met with him this week and asked him if he was coming I bet you can guess what he said. Haha yup, you guessed it! "Next week." And long story short Sister Ingold being the awesome missionary she is promised him that if he were to come to church this week that Heavenly Father would provide for him and that he would have the money he needed. And all of a sudden he told us "okay, I'm coming. I know that the Lord is going to bless me and so I am coming in faith." WHAAAAATTTT?! It was the most amazing thing ever! It was super cool that Sister Ingold felt prompted to tell him that as well because that isn't something she normally says. Wow so cool and the he found himself a ride and came to church! Crazy! We were so excited!(: I just love being able to see miracles happen in such a big way first hand. Heavenly Father truly does give us much more than we deserve.
Okay spiritual thought time. haha. This week I have been studying in Alma and something I love so much about this church is that Heavenly Father truly does have a plan for us. He has had one from the beginning of time. That plan is Jesus Christ. So many different religions believe that Christ was kind of the back up plan. That after Adam and Eve partook of the fruit it was THEN that Heavenly Father says "alright now we really need a plan for you to live with me again." But that's not how it was from the beginning of time. (Alma 12:33)
I love that we truly did pick this plan. We chose Heavenly Father's plan to come to earth and to rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ so that we can one day return to Him. We all knew it from the beginning. That Jesus Christ was never the back up plan. But rather He is the plan.

I love y'all lots and hope you have the best day every. Sorry if this email made zero sense. (I swear that happens more times than not haha) but I hope y'all know how much your Heavenly Father loves you and wants you to be able to live with Him again some day. He wants us to come to Him. Rely on the Atonement and become more like Him so that one day we can live with Him, Jesus Christ and our families for all eternity!!

Love
