Today's the Day!!

We only get today. We can't waste the day thinking of greater tomorrows we have to live today, and see the beauty unfold unto us. I was thinking about how some many times we catch ourselves saying "tomorrow will be the best day" or "if only this would happen I can be happy" Today is all we get. We get to make today the best day. Tomorrow will come but what you get to live for happiness right now. So make the best of it! " Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient is the day unto the evil thereof." (3 Nephi 13:34)

Love ya'll!

FUN FACTS:
1. Service works MIRACLES!!! One of our investigators is pregnant and doesn't have a ton of support and our ward Relief Society decided to throw her a baby shower. Even though they hadn't met her. Her and her sister came and she told us she wants us to meet her mom and her other sister!! Part of the reason we were having such a hard time meeting with her was because her mom didn't like it but now she says "my mom has to love you two now!!" Service softens hearts! (:

2. We may tried to go see the volcanoes and went through 1 or 2 or 7 or 8 mud plies along the way. haha
Sister King's
 late Birthday Dinner with Therese(:

Last P-Day we got to see some petroglyphs
and had a hike along with

Back up cameras and Missionary Backers hahah

Only in NM do you get to see this right outside your door!

The Real Miracle

First off, sorry my time management on the computer is something I've progressively gotten worse at so you'll have to forgive me. I'll do better next week! Or at least I'll try. (: And I'll write a long letter next week. haha

This week I have been reminded about something my past companion, Sister Markus, shared. She talked a lot about Peter and the time when he followed the Savior and cast his nets on the other side of the boat and then caught tons of fish. Sister Markus used to always say, the miracle isn't that he caught the fish but the miracle is that Peter listened to the Savior. He was a professional fisherman and he had come in for the night. He was cleaning his nets when the Savior tells him to go back out and throw his nets on the other side. He could have said "You, know I know what I'm doing. I'm a professional." "Or, you think I didn't throw my nets on both sides already?" But instead he listened and obeyed. It was convenient to get back in his boat and to try again but he did as the Savior asked and he was blessed for it. The miracle is that he was willing to listen. How many of us are really listenening to the Savior and being willing to follow everything he says with exactness? I promise that as you listen, set aside our will for the will of the Father, we will not regret it. He will bless us beyond anything we can even imagine.

I love this gospel with everything that I am. I love you all and hope you have the greatest day(:

FUN FACTS
1. We got special permission to go with Danny and Monica to the temple for their first time and it was so special!! Monica says she wants to quit one of her jobs and spend the time she would at work at the temple(:
2. Biggest tender mercy of my life was seeing running into Sister Lewis at the temple. Heavenly Father placed us in the right place at the right time so we could see each other for a split second.
3. The Begays woke up real early to pick us up and make us breakfast for Sister King's birthday.
4. MIRACLE!! We finally got back in touch with Michael, (I think I shared that story... if not ask me for it and I'll share it.) We made bread with Sister Bezilla to take to Less actives, and investigators so we took some to Michael and he said he wants us to meet his wife and that he and his wife are coming to church!!! And they did and it was amazing!(:
Hey, lookie here! There is a Whitney street up here in Rio Rancho!! Just for you Whit!(:
THESE ARE HAND MADE!!!
How cool is that?!

We may have had to use the restroom so naturally we stopped at Del Taco and when you feel guilty about using the bathroom without buying something you just have to get a churro (however you spell that...)

House of the Lord

Sorry! Don't have lots of time, but this week is transfers ANNNNNDD Sister King and I are both staying here!! Wahoo!!

Kaelee and Stetson are going to the temple on Saturday and I am oh, so excited for them!! Oh and so are Danny and Monica! It's a great thing being up here in ABQ when the temple is so close.

There has been so much talk about the temple this week and it's amazing. The temple really does have an incredible power! It's amazing that the Lord wants us to be able to have a place where we can go and find relief; a place where we can literally feel His love so strongly and have our testimonies strengthened beyond comprehension! Darren (pictured below) took his boss to the temple one day just to walk around the grounds and his boss, Freddy, said he felt something there unlike any other. Darren brought Freddy to a lesson and he said that there is that same feeling that he felt at the temple as we teach. It's incredible the way the things happen because Freddy told us that multiple times missionaries had come to his door and he was one to slam the door in their face. But because of the temple and because he had a good friends that loved him enough to share the thing that made him that happy he is where he is today.

The temple truly is amazing and it really is the House of the Lord. I am so happy that I get to help people get to the temple, so they can feel of their Father in Heaven's love and so they can have their families forever.

If you haven't gone to the temple recently. Make the time this week to go. Actually even if you have gone recently go. It will bless you in more ways than you can even imagine. Don't let anything get in the way of going. Set aside a day and time this week to go and do everything to make it. There will be things that come up and try to dissuade you from going but I can promise you it will bring so much peace into your life and you'll find answers you've been looking for.

Love you all!!

1 Book 531 Pages 16 Hours 200+ Missionaries

One of the most incredible things you could ever do is to have every single missionary, from Taos NM to Fabens TX, set everything aside to read the Book of Mormon in 16 hours, and the power that comes is more than words can describe.

I always knew that the Book of Mormon was true and I have had so many opportunities to ask Heavenly Father if it is, and there has always been an incredible spirit, but nothing can even begin to compare to the spirit when you get to read all day. As we were reading we were asked to underline every reference of Jesus Christ and every reference of the Atonement, and the most amazing thing was how often our Savior is mentioned and how often the sacrifice He made for me and for you is talked about. I was able to come to know Him more as I read. I was able to see His character more and come to understand the love He and our Father have for us.

I know that the Book of Mormon truly Testifies of our Savior in every way. If we want to know Him, if we want to understand why He did what He did, or feel of His love, read the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon was written for me and for you. For our day. It's to help us know the plan that Our Father has. It's to help us have true joy and true peace in a world where those things aren't always there. Our Savior and Father want us to know them. They want us to rely on them and on the glorious gift of the Atonement that we have been given.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon is His word. Read it. Study it. Ponder it. And see your Father in Heaven speak to you through it.

Love ya!!
